Grace Chow FCPA, TEP, a founding partner of Cadesky Tax, has won the award for best tax article of 2022. Co-written with Henry Shew, at the time a senior manager at Cadesky Tax, this is one of the most important awards given out to members of the Canadian tax community. It is awarded annually by the Canadian Tax Foundation, Canada’s leading tax organization.
The article provided a full review of the rules for when a tax filing is statute barred (meaning it cannot be opened by CRA), when it is open still, and what the time limits are.
On being notified of the award, Grace said, “It is a great honour to be recognized by one’s peers, particularly for this award where there are so many outstanding authors who contribute to Canadian Tax Foundation publications. I am delighted to receive this award, and thank my co-author Henry Shew for his immense contributions. As a firm, Cadesky Tax is a strong supporter of the Canadian Tax Foundation. I am so pleased to have made a tangible and lasting contribution to the great work for which the Foundation has been known for some 75 years.”
